Commonly you use trains or long-distance buses for travel within Germany if you do not own a car.
Travel by train
The German train system [7] is well developed and will not take you only almost anywhere in Germany but with connections also to a lot of european destinations. If you want to save money you can compare rates, make use of early booking discounts or purchase one of the BahnCards on offer which provide discounts on the regular train fares.
Travel by long-distance bus
More and more bus companies offer connections between German and European cities. You can check the timetable, fare information and book almost all connections at Berlin Linien Bus [8] which connects Berlin with more than 350 destinations in Germany and Europe.
Travel by flight
For air travel the Berlin-Brandenburg region currently has two airports. One is located in the north (Airport Tegel [9]) the other one near the south (Berlin Brandenburg Airport [10]) of Berlin with a city railway connection. A description of how to get to the TUB [11] you can find on the website of the service area of TUB.
