With the support of the Stibet program, financed by the German Foreign Office through the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD every year the TU-DOC Office is able to offer a number of discounted places in the SummerLanguageSchool German.
During the SummerLanguageSchools at the ZEMS you can improve your language skills for academic studies and research. The course is designed for students, graduates or anyone interested in the areas of science, engineering, planning, building and environment.
In this intensive course, you can improve your language skills in daily lessons with many opportunities for the practical application of German. The curriculum is especially designed to provide you with the language skills you need in university and research. The basic program of ZEMS will be accompanied by specific afternoon sessions enabling doctoral candidates to have a successful stay at the TU Berlin. The regular course fee is 500€, however, for the discounted places offered by the TU-DOC Office the fee is reduced to only 100€.
Eligibility: Eligible candidates for funding support are international doctoral candidates, priority is given to applicants at the beginning of their doctoral degree at the TU Berlin. Applicants who have already made use of our free places will be considered last.
Self-assessment of your German language skills is possible through the C-test of the ZEMS .

The application deadline was 31 May 2019. It is expected
that we can start another application round in summer 2020.
